Wildcat

Having purchased the incomplete hull of the 42 E-volution GTS, a 42-meter sailing yacht from Perini Navi (second unit of the E-volution series) represents a challenging feature for Turquoise Yachts since this vessel is built to deliver great sailing performance while maintaining a high level of stability and comfort at the same time, with a 2.204 sqm sail area.

Key features include an aluminium hull, a lifting keel, and an exterior design characterised by dynamic and clean lines and featuring a superstructure, deckhouse, and other fit-out items made from carbon fibre. Together with the Reichel/Pugh Yacht Design firm, already involved in naval architecture since the beginning of the project, and in collaboration with Southern Spars New Zealand, we made some changes to the sailing system to prioritise its ease of use.

The vessel is sloop-rigged with a Panamax carbon mast (62.5 m) and a carbon boom with an in-boom furling system for the main sail. The carbon mast is equipped with carbon standing rigging. The sails are handled by systems based on PLC technology. Sheets and halyards are controlled by three Harken custom captive reel winches and three Bamar furlers. The vessel's interior design is characterised by a contemporary styling, created by GCA Architects of Barcelona. The vessel accommodates a total of eight guests in four staterooms with en-suite bathroom: a full-beam owner’s suite, one VIP cabin, two twin cabins. The crew quarters accommodate seven staff in four cabins. Guest interior common areas include a main deck salon with two sofas and 360-degree surround views thanks to the ample windows and skylights installed on its superstructure. Furthermore, a tv room is located on the lower deck.

Exterior areas provide plenty of places for guests to relax. The exterior aft cockpit is characterised by a symmetrical layout with two inward-facing C-shaped sofas. Through a set of steps behind the cockpit we have access to the sunbed area. The transom door to the stern folds down to become a swim platform, and two stairways lead down to the sofa-sunbed beside the water.

Furthermore, a retractable dining table is located in the forward area, just in front of the mast. The vessel also features a tender garage with a hydraulic side shell door and tender crane (5.5m/18ft tender), a hydraulic side boarding ladder, and an aft gangway.
